20 Black and White Pictures of Turkey

This post is my favorite black and white pictures of Turkey. Readers who have been to my blog before will know that I have an obsession with photo editing programs and I am always taking a photo and manipulating it in any way possible. The latest trend that I seem to be heading for is the black and white effect.

Turkey as a country is every photographer’s heaven. There are so many places and people you can encounter on your travels and they can become the subject of a perfect photograph. Unfortunately for a novice photographer like myself, I often find that I have missed the moment or taken the photo from completely the wrong angle. By using an editing program, I can totally change the vibe of the picture and can previously add depth where there was none before.

So, I hope you enjoy my black and white pictures. If you have any black and white pictures of your own, I would love to see them whether they are about Turkey or not so please feel free to add the URL below. Let me know as well, whether you like black and white pictures as much as I do or do you prefer the full glory of color?

These are all great shots. B&W always creates such great atmosphere. I always think I’m going to change some of mine into B&W, but never find the time.

I love the black and white, it really makes you look at the photo. You may be a “novice” with the technicalities, but the purpose a photo is to tell a story- and I was quite interested.

  27. Tom Baker says:

Quality photos well done. I’ve always been a fan of B&W as it takes away the color which can often make your eyes dart all over the photo. With grey scale it allows you to take the whole picture in, in your own time. Maybe it’s just me, but I always get more warmth and emotion out of a picture when doing it this way.
